The Lab

        The conditions in the lab were horrible. Akao was quick to notice that whatever these experiments were, the older you were, the more likely you were to die! While, those of younger blood seemed to move onto the next bloody and terrible phase! How lucky that snatched at the age of 4? Seen as nothing more than a little savage girl, her miss treatment was extra harsh despite being a child, which even the children barely received any kindness.

        By the age of no more than 6, Akao's innocence and purity; was stripped from her by someone working in the lab. Now if they were trying to perform some sort of sick experiments, got a high from doing shit like that or maybe just wanted to cause her fear! Who knows cause shortly after that happened one of the “Failed” test subject would stab the man over and over, leaving him to bleed out and choke on his own blood.

        Sadly, an experimental the bites the hand of its handle will always be euthanized, and this one was not expection. Akao would weep for this one, but thank them as they die she would not leave this woman to die alone. Screaming and crying had become all too familiar sounds to her; to a point she had gotten used to not growing too attached to any one person, knowing they could be easily snatched away from her! Akao had to master fake-emotions to not seem unwell or to fright the new children.

        Still, she did her best to not become frigid and cold for the other younger ones that would get brought in with time.

         Akao recalled being placed in testing tube with many other children and how a base colorless liquids filled the chamber as they were sealed inside, unable to escape. As there, vital were all monitored. As the “doctors” and “scientists” jabbed them with other needles filled with other things. Until tubes were added into the back of most of the children necks outside of Akao’s because of her scales and the way she fought, then places a paralyzing magic and drug on her they slice deep into her throat and place the tube and  from the rest of the test subject ather and thier souls would flow into her!

         Sadly, this would not be the last time they would put more souls into her though the process would be different as they tried to prefect making a “Complete” and “rejoined” soul as they were hunting down supposed fragments and bring together them or so they claimed though if you ask her they are a bunch of crazy science cultists! Who happened to gain certain knowledge from a certain Ascian, which lead to her any many other’s suffering!

         Her once white scales would turn blue, gold and while retain only some of her white scales. Not a single black scale remained from her Xaela father. These new scales even seemed to glow an aqua color, in normal lighting or even in the sun. The glow would be very faint and hard to see; however, in a dark room, it would be easier to see this change and even more so when Akao’s powers finally kicked in!

        By now, Akao was already hearing so many voices in her head. The faces of the dammed and dead flashed before her face. Even her own murdered parents came to haunt her for some time. Yet she could see faces and hear voice she never saw in the lab, which made no scene at all to her. Chucked and told to fight and survive she was placed with one of the “failed” experiments as fire was confusing them as they rage and turned even on her even though they had one been “friend” given no weapon she had no choice but to use magic.

        Under Blue Moon, Akao’s scales grew even more blue while her eyes would glow as while. As a different voice rang out in her head, one unknown to her cutting though all the other voices. Asking if she wanted to die now or continue to fight and live? Though before answering that question, it warned her taking this boon wouldn’t come free. Reaching forward she spoke that she wished to take the power to live no matter what it would cost her!

        Still with no weapon to use, she would create one out of water, slicing up the person as they yelled out in pain as the water cut though thier flames. It was clear this was no white magic water spell, but something else. In the end, she plunged the spare made of water into the person's heart as they fell onto the ground, blood getting onto her as she stood under the moon’s glow. Sadly, this wouldn’t be the only time an experiment would die by her hands. She’d become a sort of grim reaper of sorts.

        While others she wouldn’t need to kill as thier bodies destabilized until they explode, leaving blood splattered across the room and a mass of flesh on the ground. The price for a failed experiment, whose body gave out before thier mind did first. Akao feared that either of those two outcomes could one day claim her own life as she slowly grew up as well. She’d already seen countless lives lost, almost too many to recount at this point.

        The Lab would try to force her to use other magic to see if they could get similar results to what she did with water magic. However, any time she used any magic outside of water or some lower basic healing magic like Cure. She’d cough up blood and bruising and cuts would appear on her very flesh as if her body rejected any other kind of magic! Looking at her, anyone worth a dam would see her ather had become dangerously imbalanced toward water now. So was it really a short it rejected all other forms of magic?

        8 years had passed and one day under a Super Blue Moon, and Akao had grown into her powers at the age of now 12. Having to take out multiple who had lost thier minds, she made sure that those who were sane had been taken away and that doors where sealed tight confusing the staff until a torrent of water flood the area drowning those who went crazy, a less than kind way to go though the people noticed she didn’t drown as well showing she could breathe a skill she had hidden. The glass soon broke in thier room as it wet the control panel, causing a short as red flashing lights. Would signal not only in her section but thought out a lab wide power failure was happening!

        Those who had truly become murderous may have stayed behind to try to take revenge on those who had hurt them. Akao, however, just wanted out, so she gathered some of the younger littles who had yet to be truly fucked up and fled into the snow. God, how she hated the cold. An you know, the lab workers and those that worked for them weren’t going to let thier lab rats off so easily as they attacked them as they tried to flee! However, unfortunately, for years, they have been training Akao to become a trained killer and fighter! Thus, she defended those in her care to help them escape with her.
