Being saved from the Lab

       Even though she can fight and do some healing, it’s not great even now as they travel in the snow a bloody trail fallows behind her as she had used her body to shield some kids from being hurt, from all the hellish experiment ran on her in the last 8 years, her tolerance for pain ise’t normal any more.​ Still together they shiver as they made thier way through the snow, in clothing not made for the claimant. Her breath rising into the sky, as she looked for shelter for the group, she got out.

       Hearing the sound of something fall behind her she was ready to attack in case someone had fallowed but seeing it was a kid. She would go over and pick the small one up. Promising them just a bit farther, she could see some mountains, and where thier are mountains, thier are caves, which means shelter from the biting cold, she knew they needed to warm up. Still her vision had started to blur a bit and the voice they came again, but the howling of the highlands of Coerthas wind seemed to drown them out. What had she just seen?

       Someone or something must have been looking out for her as some wandering Dragoons, along with some dragons, spotted the children. Before they entered the cavern system, which was her second stroke of luck. As it would happen that the fallowing day the area they would have entered would have collapsed!

       Akao would have awoken on the back of a mighty dragon while being held by a Lady Elezen Dragoon. With both a calm and stoic voice, she would assure Akao that the rest of the children were also on dragon back, being safely escorted back to Ishgard and to not struggle. She added that once they land, they would be given hot meals, warmed up, thier injuries address and most importantly she’d ask Akao the eldest what happened to them!

       Akao would pretend to trust in this woman for now, for the children's sake. However, she was not one to place trust so blindly in strangers. Not after the last one she met lead to her parent’s murder, and her experimentation for the last 8 years. She had been a lab right for more years than she had been free! She looked up at the stars as she thought about that sad and horrible fast 2/3 of her life spent in hell and for what!?

       An yet the woman lived up to her end of the bargain, everyone was fed, warmed up and medically cared for in a way Akao had not previously seen though she had tried to fight them off. It was only when a certain wyvern spoke up and shocked her as it spoke her native original tongue that she quited down and allowed the Astrologian and medics to help heal her.

       In the end the youngest one some of them ended up back with thier original family bring a smile upon her face. While others would be adopted, folks from all over came, but Akao never did anything to make herself “more” adoptable” the original Dragoon lady she rode with hypothesized she might have been doing this on purpose to make sure all the rest of the kids found homes first and did not feel alone.

      She had tried to help Akao reunite with her tribe, unfortunately they turned her away, claiming she no longer new thier ways, but was also far too different. Though they did pass on the knowledge of Akao’s extended family on her mother's side in case she ever made her way out to Thavinar. An one day she saw that Akao had taken up one of the Dragoon training lances as she moved it quite well.

       She tried to recall back to her time with her tribe she always did when she made the weapons out of water. When never given any so once she was able to use praice or real one spears and lance, she’d always go to after all that what more in line with what her tribe would have used and so the woman suggested that Akao let her adopt her. Akao would have questioned why the woman would do such a thing. When she is not even an Au Ra. The woman started laughing and told her, so what, her husband is a Viera?

       An she was merely here to help train some of the newest up coming Dragoons. She told Akao if she let her adopt Akao she teach her the way of the lance seeing how well she already used it, but also that she already seemed pretty well bonded with dragons while explaining the kind she teaches and does is a fair bit different then the kind that’s normally taught.

       Thus, she was adopted. She’d move to Gridania with the woman and her husband, who turned out to be a user Red and White Magic. A very kind man, more laid back and somewhat shy but kind, he’d help Akao come far in trusting new people after all that happened to her. While her new mother would help bring in more confidence and a certain wisdom to her that one might not expect from a former militarist Dragoon Knight. Now at 12 1/2 Akao was adopted into a new family.

      At 14 once she had to learn to trust more and gained some more understanding about the world they traveled to Thavinar meeting the extended family who welcomed Akao, though they were sad to find out what happened both to Akao's mother and Akao. They would go onto teach Akao how to build her ship and continue to stay in close contact with Akao. Even to this day they help her with the Twilight Origin, both her ship and home, wings to fly so she will never be caged so she will always be free!
