         Nadja, born in the Golmore Jungle, embodies the essence of the Viera's deep bond with nature. Her upbringing in this vibrant and lush environment, where she honed her healing abilities, is pivotal to her identity. Known for her profound empathy and extraordinary talent in healing, both plants, people and creatures, she is a revered figure among her people. Her connection with the Green Word—a mystical essence that embodies the spirit of the jungle—grants her unique abilities, setting her apart as a guardian of nature.

         The tranquility of the Golmore Jungle was shattered by a devastating sickness, a blight that ravaged the land and its inhabitants. The disease spread rapidly among flora, fauna, and people alike, manifesting as black spots, severe respiratory issues, and other debilitating symptoms. Nadja’s skills became crucial in the battle against this illness.

         After tireless efforts to discover a cure, Nadja succeeded. However, the Green Word conveyed a larger responsibility—she needed to leave her homeland and share her knowledge with the wider world. This directive was not just about saving the jungle but preventing a larger catastrophe. The Green Word’s call was both a blessing and a burden, marking the end of Nadja’s life as she knew it and the beginning of a new chapter!

         Nadja’s departure from the Golmore Jungle was a profound emotional transition. Leaving behind the only life she had ever known, along with the comforts and familiarity of her homeland, was daunting. Her gentle nature and shyness bring her trouble upon leaving her old life behind while her skills would also help her along the new path she travels.

 

Echoes of Compassion: Nadja: A Spirit of Healing

   Nadja’s journey in the Golmore Jungle was woven with the threads of her unique identity. As a Rava born with both male and female characteristics, she was granted the rare choice to stay in her beloved birth place or venture out with her father to become a warden. However, her gentle nature along with the  jungle, secrets and whispers, anchored her heart.

​

         Growing up surrounded by her female kin and fellow kits, she felt the warmth of their camaraderie. Yet, the return of the males, eager to reclaim their sons, often left her feeling nervous. Her shyness made social interactions challenging, especially with those of the opposite sex. Instead of seeking their company, she buried herself in her studies—both magical and in medicine they became her refuge!

       While other Viera honed their skills in hunting and combat, Nadja developed an affinity for the life around her. The bow was a necessary tool, yet she wielded it differently; for her, it was not a weapon of destruction but a means of protection. Her approach to archery became one of restraint, focusing on incapacitating rather than killing. She observed the creatures of the jungle with an astute eye, learning their movements and calls, forging a bond that transcended fear. Animals recognized her as a friend, drawn to her gentle spirit.

         Under the guidance of other High Healing Priestess, Nadja’s training shifted. Her keen intellect and sensitivity to the Green Word opened new pathways for her. Instead of merely learning to heal, she began to understand the delicate balance of life and the interconnectedness of all beings in the jungle. Herbs and remedies became her tools of compassion, and she dedicated herself to protecting the fragile ecosystems that surrounded her.

         As she ventured beyond the familiar confines of her home, Nadja carried the lessons of the jungle with her. Her heart, attuned to the whispers of nature, guided her toward a destiny intertwined with the preservation of life in all its forms!

 

Beyond the Jungle's Embrace - The Healer's Departure

         One fateful day, Nadja encountered a dire situation when a Hyur and a half-Hyur Elezen stumbled into her care, suffering from a mysterious and severe illness. The sickness was unlike anything she had seen before—an insidious blight that affected plants, animals, and people. The symptoms were alarming: black spots on the skin, severe coughing that progressed to blood in the lungs, fever, and even bleeding from the nose and ears.

         Nadja’s healing magic, while potent, was not enough to fully combat the sickness. The disease seemed to defy conventional treatments, and despite her best efforts with various herbal mixtures and magical remedies, the suffering continued. Her deep connection with nature and her persistence led her to a breakthrough. After exhaustive research and experimentation, she discovered a cure.

         Just as Nadja’s success with the cure seemed to mark the end of her immediate struggle, the Green Word intervened with a new revelation. The blight was not confined to the Golmore Jungle but was spreading across Etheirys, threatening the entire world. The Green Word entrusted Nadja with the knowledge and responsibility to prevent a global catastrophe. This crucial mission required her to leave her homeland—an irreversible decision that meant she could never return.

         With the weight of the world on her shoulders, Nadja faced the heart-wrenching task of bidding farewell to her family and her beloved jungle. The jungle, which had been her cradle and her sanctuary, would now be watched over by others. Her departure was marked by a deep sense of loss and determination. She said goodbye to her home, her people, and the life she had known.

 

         Stepping into the broader world of Etheirys, Nadja embarked on a path filled with uncertainty and danger. Her departure from the familiar comfort of the jungle into an unknown, often harsh world, was both a physical and emotional journey. The skills and knowledge she brought with her were invaluable, but they also placed her in precarious situations as she navigated new cultures, faced unforeseen challenges, and encountered a wide range of individuals.

         Nadja’s journey is marked by her resilience and adaptability. Her initial naivety and shyness in the face of unfamiliarity are gradually overcome by her resolve and the sense of responsibility bestowed upon her.
